MONTEREY MEDIA PICKS UP NORTH AMERICAN RIGHTS TO JEREMY LEVEN'S ROMANTIC COMEDY GIRL ON A BICYCLE

Los Angeles, CA (June 3, 2013) - monterey media is proud to announce the acquisition of all United States & Canada rights to writer/director Jeremy Leven's (The Notebook, Don Juan DeMarco) Girl on a Bicycle. From the Producers of the Academy Award winning film The Lives of Others Max Wiedemann and Quirin Berg, Girl on a Bicycle is a charming Romantic Comedy set in Paris starring internationally renowned Nora Tschirner, along with Vincenzo Amato, Paddy Considine, and Louise Monot. The deal was concluded between monterey's Scott Mansfield and Meghan Oliver and Ben Weiss of Paradigm. monterey plans a theatrical release in the Autumn of 2013.

"The film began with a simple event - in Paris one afternoon I saw a beautiful French girl on a bicycle ride by and I could see how one could not only fantasize endlessly, but, if carried too far, she could completely turn one's life upsidedown, with comic consequences. When the opportunity presented itself to work with Max Wiedemann and Quirin Berg, as well as such talented actors as Nora, Vincenzo, Louise and Paddy, the fantasy became a reality, at least on film. The film is in the can, and the French beauties still ride by," says Jeremy Leven.

"We are so very thrilled to be distributing Jeremy's new film, following the Warner Bros. release in Germany. This is a truly delightful and funny comedy, an actual 'date'movie for both young and not so young," commented Scott Mansfield, monterey media President.
