monterey media builds momentum
with Ripple Effect

February 28, 2008 Thousand Oaks, CA-   monterey media proudly announces the acquisition of Ripple Effect, a YBG Production. Ripple Effect’s beautiful and intriguing story is told by writer/director/producer Philippe Caland and brought to life by it’s magnificent cast, Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker,  and Academy Award nominated actresses Virginia Madsen (Sideways) and Minnie Driver (Phantom of the Opera, Good Will Hunting). Hip clothing designer, Amer Atrash, is perpetually on the brink of success. Now, with time running out, he is undergoing a crisis his business and in his marriage. Soul searching, he attributes his misfortune to bad karma from a wrongdoing committed fifteen years ago and sets out to right this wrong experiencing a spiritual awakening in the process.

monterey media will be distributing all rights in the United States and Canada. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release prior to its DVD release.
