23rd Israel Film Festival Honors Achievements in Film
at Gala Awards Dinner

June 12, 2008 Thousand Oaks, CA- Now in its 23rd year, the Israel Film Festival celebrated Israel's 60th Birthday by honoring visionary leaders in the film industry at the fest's Gala Awards Dinner on the evening of Wednesday, June 12th at The Beverly Hilton and saluted the outstanding achievements of Jeffrey Berg, Kirk Douglas, Menahem Golan, Carl Reiner and Rob Reiner.

Specially recognized at the event and the festival's Opening Night screening of The Secrets were visionary director Avi Nesher, his wife Iris, Ania Bukstein (one of Israel's leading actresses and star of The Secrets), Jere Rae-Mansfield and Scott Mansfield of monterey media, the film's US distributor.

In addition to the honorees recognized at the red carpet event, attendees included famed astronaut Buzz Aldrin, actors Jeff Goldblum, Ed Begley, Jr. and Jon Voight and more.
