monterey media finds the Ocean

February 4, 2008 Thousand Oaks, CA- monterey media inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of the domestic rights to When I Find the Ocean, a heartwarming family feature film directed by Tonya S. Holly and produced by Cypress Moon Productions. This compelling adventure has already won the hearts of audiences and achieved acclaim at various film festivals and markets including the Reel Women International Film Festival and Myrtle Beach International Film Festival.

When I Find the Ocean beautifully showcases the journey of a young girl searching for answers to assuage her lonely heart, broken by the loss of her father. Although Lily leads a safe and happy small town life with her mother Jenny (Amy Redford, who by the way happens to be Robert Redford’s daughter) and grandparents Edna and Thomas (Diane Ladd & Lee Majors), she is troubled by the past and dubious of the future. Years before, Lily's father was lost at sea and declared dead. As his body was never recovered, Lily feels his soul is somehow still at sea and yearns to say her “goodbyes”. In addition to the pain and confusion she suffers for her father’s death, she is tormented by the secrets of someone new in her mother’s life. Lily's soulful quest is a magnificent testament to the strength of the human spirit and journeys of the heart.

When I Find the Ocean stars Lily Matland Holly, multi Oscar nominated and Golden Globe winning actress Diane Ladd (Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore), Golden Globe nominated Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man, The Fall Guy), Graham Greene (Dances with Wolves), Richard Tyson (Kindergarten Cop), Bernie Casey (Batman Beyond), Amy Redford.

A theatrical release is planned for spring 2008 culminating in a DVD release the end of summer.
