MONTEREY MEDIA PICKS UP ACCLAIMED YOSEMITE
Los Angeles, CA (September 9, 2015) - monterey media is proud to announce the acquisition of all U.S. and Canada rights to Yosemite written/directed by Gabrielle Demeestere. Starring James Franco and Henry Hopper, introducing Calum John, Alec Mansky and Everett Meckler. Based on James Franco's short stories from his collection "A California Childhood." Produced by Rabbit Bandini Productions with The Art of Elysium and Sam Slater and Paul Bernon of Burn Later Productions, the film premiered in January as the Closing Night film at Slamdance where it Won the Award for Best Female Director, Nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Nashville Film Festival (along with Winner Women in Film Award for Director Gabrielle Demeestere) and Nominated for the Jury Prize at the Sarasota Film Festival.
The deal was negotiated with ICM Partners and monterey media's Scott Mansfield. The US theatrical launch is planned for Winter 2015.

It's the fall of 1985. The intertwining tales of three 5th grade friends, Chris, Joe and Ted, unfold in the suburban paradise of Palo Alto, as the threat of a mountain lion looms over the community.
