Press Releases

November 4, 2010 - Los Angeles, CA- monterey media is pleased to announce the acquisition of Harvest, for distribution of all rights / all media in North America, from Ibid Filmworks. Starring Academy Award nominee Robert Loggia, Jack Carpenter, Arye Gross, Tony Winner Victoria Clark, and Academy Award nominee Barbara Barrie, Harvest features Original Music by Grammy and Tony Winner Duncan Sheik and David Poe. Written and Directed by Marc Meyers and produced by Jody Girgenti and Marc Meyers, Harvest is Marc's second narrative feature. His first, "Approaching Union Square", was picked up by Sundance Channel.

Harvest is at once a poignant and moving story that is ultimately uplifting, with endearing moments of humor anchoring this realistic portrait of a family hanging on to what was, what now is, and to one another. It is a stunning coming of age film for all of us, bringing to mind how we all come of age, in our own ways, often again and again.

"An impressive cast"-The New York Times

"Luckily such delicate gems are still being made"

In "Harvest", three generations of a family come together one summer around the anticipated passing of its patriarch, a WWII veteran played by Oscar Nominated Robert Loggia. Gathered at the family home and around their beautiful shoreline town, years of betrayal and resentment within the family surface while one grandson (Jack Carpenter) does his part to hold them all together. Oscar Nominated Barbara Barrie also stars as the senile grandmother.

"Entertaining and poignant" -

"deeply moving" - Kansas City Star
